From episode 6. A flashback scene. Akari's mother, Midoh Tomoe, tells Akari with her dying breath that she must go to University Satellite. Akari's sheltered childhood up to this point has not left her prepared to face this destiny on her own. It must have been terrible for Midoh Tomoe to know the importance of Akari's future, but be unable to see her through it. As you can see from the screencaps, the layers of this cel do not exactly correspond. Pretty much all the multi-layer Battle Athletes cels I have suffer from this problem.
