Ayla faces Jessie after having withdrawn from the competition. She calmly tells Jessie that she no longer has a country to compete for, as her homeland has been bought out. The conversation is continued in this cel. Ayla is my next favorite character after Itchan. I admire her calm competence, but it is the way in which her competition with Jessie allowed her to reach inside and find the humanity beneath the cold exterior that most endeared her to me. I'm very happy to have found a nice "full face" cel of her. :-)
