From episode 2. Itchan assures Akari that she'll be with her as she trains for the make-up exam. Itchan has just pulled Akari's "house" off of her, and is holding it up. Itchan is one of my favorite characters--a faithful friend, with plenty of "persistence, spirit, and guts" to share with Akari. At this point in the show Akari is whiny, annoying, and pretty darned useless, but Itchan stands by her. Something about this cel just captures Itchan's personality perfectly for me.
