An oversized cel from episode 7. Jessie watches film of Midoh Tomoe running against an opponent, and imagines them morphing into Akari against herself. She realizes that she, usually so confident about being first, is afraid that Akari will pass her. What talent has she helped awaken? I really love this cel--it's very wide and shows Akari's hair off nicely. I'm very grateful to the friend who brought back this and some of my other Battle Athletes cels for me from Japan. :-) Like so many Battle Athletes cels seem to, this one has mis-matched layers. (I assume the AIC people couldn't be bothered to match things up properly when they sold them.) I've put up the screencaps for both.
