This isn't quite what I had been expecting when Lahrri talked about Midoh Tomoe always smiling during competition! :-) Midoh Tomoe didn't understand why Akari persisted when all the others had been miserably beaten, but here she starts to take the race seriously for the first time, in the face of Akari's talent.
